What is Adventure Maniacs?

Adventure Maniacs is a teams based GPS Navigaton Rallye for hardcore Adventure riders, The course is suitable for larger capacity Adventure style bikes, 640-1200 Off-road based motorcycles, ie KTM 640-690, 950, 1190, BMW 650, GS800 - 1200, Triumph Tiger, Suzuki DR650 ect,

The course will consist of typical Adventure riding trails and back roads but the focus of Adventure Maniacs is the challenge of rougher style 4WD tracks alongside typical high country dirt roads and amazing bitumen mountain sections. 4WD tracks and more challenging 4WD trails will be the standout feature of this style of Adventure ride and bikes should be set up to handle the 4wd trails and rough roads with more ease than an off the shelf typical adventure bike set up.

A typical Adventure maniacs day will see teams of 3 (Min) to 6 (Max) riders start between 7-8am (start times to be allocated), and finish around 4-5pm with approx 300-350km of incredible high country trails! Teams will be given a start time each morning and a finish time will be recorded and the end of the day. Adventure Maniacs is a teams based ride with 2 classes, Class “26”,(up to total team capacity 2600cc), “36” and “Big Bore” class (Unlimited capacity). Prizes will be awarded to the “best” teams of each class. Adventure maniacs will have team based “Special Stages” on private land that will also determine the “winners” of each class. Adventure Maniacs special stages will not be speed.
